QCA’s 14-19 Education Division is looking to increase the pool of consultants with expertise in the following areas of current and forthcoming work:

  • school/college management and curriculum 14-19
  • student guidance, including careers education and guidance
  • work-related and work-based learning
  • special education
  • teaching and learning of vocational qualifications
  • teaching and learning of general subjects at key stage 4 and post 16
  • mathematics, particularly at advanced level
  • assessment of general and vocational qualifications and key skills.

The curriculum work typically involves setting up meetings with practitioners and students to an agreed template and timescale.  The outcomes are written reports and/or draft advice and guidance for managers, teachers and students.

Expressions of interest are welcome from those with appropriate communication skills in addition to experience in LEA, LSC, school, college, national organisations or awarding bodies.
